A Working of Gay Love, Desire, and the Heart That Knows Itself

The double Mars symbol is two of the same reaching toward each other, a desire that knows itself, love that doesn’t wait to be found but goes looking, connection between men that has existed in every culture and every century regardless of what anyone thought about it. Calamus root is one of the oldest herbs of male love in the folk magic tradition. Walt Whitman wrote about it in Leaves of Grass as a symbol of the love between men, and that association goes back further than Whitman by a long way.

This kit can be used to call in new love, to deepen a love already present, or to begin with yourself, because the clearest signal you can send out is knowing exactly who you are and being comfortable being found.

Inside your kit you will find a handmade virgin beeswax spell candle in midnight blue with silver-white mica, scented in midnight tides, packed with violets, calamus root, deer’s tongue, and cardamom and rolled in violet, calamus dust, and cardamom dust. Your kit also includes a 2-ounce bottle of Brother Moon oil blended with violet leaf, cardamom, vetiver, sandalwood, frankincense, jasmine, and bergamot in a jojoba base, a tumbled labradorite, a bag of calamus root and cardamom pods, a moon and double Mars charm necklace, a silver cord, two sticks of Nag Champa incense, a petition scroll, and a pipette.

Every kit comes with a complete printed ritual brochure so you know exactly what to do, why you’re doing it, and how to carry the working forward.

Candle Safety: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from flammable materials, children, and pets. Always burn on a heat-safe surface. Smother to extinguish, do not blow out. Because of the herbs that are within these handcrafted candles, it is suggested that you burn within a well ventilated area or outside.

I also sell cast iron plates just for burning these candles.

Handcrafted with intention, folk tradition, and care.
